"भूमि सुपोषण”, भारतवर्ष में प्राचीन काल से चली आ रही एक महत्वपूर्ण कृषि प्रथा है। जैसे जैसे समय बीतता गया, हम इस आधुनिक कृषि पद्धतियों के युग में आकर, अपनी कृषि परंपरा से दूर होते गये। परिणामस्वरूप, हमारी माता समान भूमि शक्तिहीन होती गयी। आधुनिक कृषि ने रासायनिक खाद और कीटनाशकों का प्रयोग, फ़सलों की विविधता को हटाकर एक ही फ़सल लेने की प्रथा (एकधा सस्यन), पशुधन की जगह जीवाश्म ईंधनों का प्रयोग, सघन सिंचाई और भूमि का अतिप्रयोग हमपर थोंप दिया। ये बात यहाँ समाप्त नहीं होती। ऐसे अन्य कई कारण भारतीय कृषि परंपरा से हमारा नाता तोड़ने में योगदान देते हैं। ‘भूमि सुपोषण एवं संरक्षण अभियान’, भारतीय कृषि परंपरा को जीवित रखने वाले किसानों, किसानों के साथ कार्यरत संस्थाओं, कृषि वैज्ञानिकों और विज्ञाननिष्ठ किसानों का भारतीय कृषि पद्धति का पुनरुद्धार करने के हेतु एक एक संयुक्त प्रयास है। इसका लक्ष्य है, “आज के युग में कृषिक्षेत्र की माँगों में कोई समझौता किये बिना भूमि सुपोषण की पुनःस्थापना!”

Bhumi Suposhan is a significant Bhartiya Krishi tradition. Over the years, in the age of modern agriculture, we have lost connect with this tradition. Consequently, our Bhumi has weakened. Modern agriculture has paved the way for indeterminate use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, monocropping instead of crop diversity, fossil fuels instead of animal power, intensive irrigation, and intensive land use. These are some of the major reasons of disconnecting us from Bhartiya Krishi tradition. Bhumi Suposhan and Samrakshan Jan Abhiyan is a joint effort of farmers practicing Bhartiya Krishi, organizations working with the farmers, Agriculture Scientists and Farmer Scientists. The Abhiyan aims at reinstating Bhumi Suposhan in its contemporary form without compromising present demands of our agriculture.

चैत्रोत्सव पर्व की मंगल कामनाएं। इस वर्ष चैत्र शु प्रतिपदा अर्थात 13 अप्रेल 2021 को राष्ट्र स्तरीय भूमि सुपोषण एवं संरक्षण जन अभियान के अंतर्गत देशभर में भूमि पूजन कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन हो रहा है। देश के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में पुनः कोरोना के बढ़ते प्रकोप को ध्यान में रखते हुए सभी से नम्र निवेदन है कि सभी जगह कोरोना के नियमो का कड़ाई से पालन हो। प्रत्येक कार्यक्रम राज्य की नियमावली के अनुसार निर्धारित लोगो की उपस्थिति में सम्पन्न हो। अपने अपने क्षेत्र की परिस्थितियों को ध्यान में रखकर सभी की सुरक्षा की चिंता करते हुए सामूहिक चर्चा कर अभियान के कार्यक्रमों के आयोजन संबंधी निर्णय करना आवश्यक है।

Wishing all citizen of Bharat, a peaceful and healthy Chitrotsav Parva! This year on the auspicious Chaitra Shudh Pratipada i.e. 13th April 2021 Bhumi Pujan Programme is being organized all over the country as a part of Nationwide Bhumi Suposhan and Samrakshan Jan Abhiyan. However, given the situation that Covid Pandemic is fast spreading, we request that rules and regulations notified by the government to check the spread of CORONA should be strictly followed. The programme should be conducted in the presence of stipulated number of persons allowed to gather by the respective government authority of the state/district/municipal corporation. We insist that Bhumi Pujan Programme should be organized strictly after ensuring safety of all participants and as a collective decision on suitability of local conditions, in the existing pandemic situation.
